Cubs set World Series Roster

The Cubs have set their World Series roster and Kyle Schwarber is on it. Whether or not that’s a good idea, it’s fantastic news for Schwarber and the Cubs future. I personally don’t mind it. Rob Z. was left off the roster and that’s a good trade off in my opinion. Schwarber won’t get enough plate appearances to know whether or not this was a good or bad idea, but it won’t stop people from suggesting it based on the small sample of a few games worth of at bats. Here’s the roster:

Jon Lester
Jake Arrieta
Kyle Hendricks
John Lackey
Aroldis Chapman
Pedro Strop
Hector Rondon
Carl Edwards Jr.
Justin Grimm
Mike Montgomery
Travis Wood

David Ross
Willson Contreras
Miguel Montero

Anthony Rizzo
Javier Baez
Addison Russell
Kris Bryant
Ben Zobrist

Dexter Fowler
Jason Heyward
Albert Almora Jr.
Chris Coghlan
Jorge Soler
Kyle Schwarber
