Cubs, Cardinals postponed; makeup date July 21

This weather is just ridiculous.

The Cubs and Braves played a game Saturday under conditions that probably should have postponed it.

Conditions were worse Sunday, so they called the game and will make that up May 14.

It snowed about an inch on the North Side of Chicago overnight into early Monday morning and temperatures are still in the low 30s, with a few flurries still falling.

What month is this, anyway? January?

The Cubs announced early Monday afternoon that Monday night’s scheduled game against the Cardinals is postponed:

Tonight’s #Cubs-Cardinals game has been postponed.

On July 21, the Cubs have a scheduled night game against the Cardinals, a Fox-TV “Baseball Night in America” game that will begin at 6:15 p.m. CT.

Thus the makeup game will likely have to start at 12:05 p.m. As usual, your ticket for tonight’s game will be valid for the makeup game. For other ticket questions regarding today’s postponement, contact the Cubs ticket office or Fan Services at 773-388-8270.

It should be warmer in Chicago by July 21. Maybe. Hopefully.
